How to buy gold in Singapore
Buying physical gold in Singapore comes down to four questions: what you pay over the gold price, how you pay, when you need to verify your identity, and how the gold reaches you.
At 1Plus1Gold every price is the live international spot price plus a published premium for that weight, there is no minimum order, and investment-grade gold carries no GST. The answers below cover each step.
How do you decide your prices?
Every price is the live international gold spot (XAU/USD multiplied by the live USD/SGD rate) plus a published premium for that weight. There is no hidden markup — the spot and the premium are the whole price, and they update in real time.
Do you charge GST?
No. Our gold is investment-grade and qualifies as Investment Precious Metals (IPM) under Singapore's GST Act, so it is GST-exempt.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum — you can start with a single gram.
How can I pay?
Through HitPay: PayNow, credit or debit card, GrabPay and Atome. Apple Pay and Google Pay are available through HitPay on supported devices. All orders are charged in Singapore Dollars.
Do I need to verify my identity?
For any order totalling S$20,000 or more, identity verification (KYC) is required: a government-issued photo ID and a quick selfie for liveness, handled securely through our verification partner. As a regulated dealer, this keeps us compliant with Singapore's anti-money-laundering rules.
How will I receive my gold?
Your gold arrives sealed and insured. At checkout you choose from the delivery options available for your order: express same-day delivery within Singapore via Lalamove, next-day delivery via SPX Express or NinjaVan, or free next-day evening delivery. Which options appear, and their timings, depend on the day and time you order. Self-pickup is available subject to approval — please contact us to arrange.
Are you licensed and regulated?
Yes. 1Plus1Gold is a registered dealer under the Precious Stones and Precious Metals (PSPM) Act, licensed by the Ministry of Law, Singapore (PSPM Licence PS20260000988), and supervised for AML/CFT by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. UEN 53378711D.
